Loan Processor - Spokane Valley, WA - Full-Time
JOB SUMMARY: The Loan Processor provides support to the Processing Department by coordinating and completing tasks related to the intake, review, consolidation, and entry of documentation and information used in the preparation, analysis, and underwriting of SBA 504 Loans. This position will follow established guidelines and procedures to meet internal policy, compliance, and regulatory SOP requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- In coordination with Processing Department staff: orders, obtains, reviews, and records required due diligence items from Business Development Officers, internal departments, customers, and/or third-party vendors.
- Prepares and compiles documentation as required.
- Reviews packages for completion, accuracy, and compliance. Performs job responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinates corrections and other actions to mitigate risks related to the integrity of data by ensuring all areas of underwriting packages are accurate and retained appropriately.
- Transfers all credit and due diligence documents to the imaging system.
- Inputs loan data into the software utilized by the company for submission to SBA.
- Provides support and backup coverage to other department staff as needed.
- Ensures compliance to applicable regulations and keeps up to date with changes in federal regulations and internal credit policies and procedures.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and maintain organized loan files, develop and communicate needs lists effectively to involved parties, and maintain responsibility for ensuring all pending items are collected and filed appropriately.
- Understand key eligibility and analysis components relating to SBA 504 lending by utilizing SBA’s Standard Operating Procedures and NWBDA’s Credit Policies and Procedures / Operations Manual when making decisions.
- Provide timely, complete, and accurate responses to inquiries, emails, phone calls, and other contact.
- Assist all departments with various tasks relating to each stage of the loan process.
- Assist with other requests or duties as requested by management.

Minimum Education &/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent. Four plus (4+) years’ of prior financing/lending/banking experience preferred. Basic understanding of credit products, documentation terminology, vendor documents and searches, and document preparation. Exhibits solid knowledge of or a strong desire to learn applicable local, state and federal regulations, SBA policies and procedures, and has the ability to meet deadlines under pressure while correctly preparing documents.
Other Skills & Abilities
Advanced personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, and e-mail, experience with SBA 504 Software Ventures+ is desirable, as is an ability to acclimate quickly to other programs; self-starter and works with minimal direction; strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and team orientation; ability to prioritize work and remain adaptable under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to appropriately escalate issues requiring problem solving and decision making.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, correspondence, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present verbal and written information when responding to questions from managers, peers, or other business partners.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for answering calls directed to the operator, specifically assisting the President with day-to-day, monthly and annual projects, providing back-up for the Chief Operating Officer and a variety of assistance to all other departments as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Professionally administer all incoming calls and redirect accordingly;
- Greet and assist guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner;
- Prepare and distribute Board and annual meeting materials;
- Coordinate Board and annual meetings and follow-up tasks;
- Maintain Board related records; and communicate changes to SBA;
- Assist all departments as needed, providing specific assistance to President and back up support to Chief Operating Officer (IT Support, Facilities Management & HR);
- Monitor and communicate staff absences;
- Record and prepare Staff Meeting Minutes;
- Coordinate Birthday Celebrations;
- Maintenance Person visit coordination;
- Manage office supply inventory;
- Type memos, email notifications, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed;
- Produce and mail Thank You cards, Congressional & Senator letters
- Mail/Package preparation and distribution;
- Perform a variety of clerical duties;
- Copier and Postage Software Troubleshooting, Reporting and Management;
- Manage Christmas card/Mass mailings; and
- Schedule/Coordinate third-party “Training Room” events and obtain sponsorship, when necessary.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make recommendation/ suggestions to Chief Operating Officer and/or President for potential procedural changes to promote efficiencies within the company;
- Attempt to attend all meetings where your presence is requested by management;
- Attempt to attend all training classes/webinars provided by NWBDA that will benefit your current or future positions with NWBDA;
- Assist with other requests or duties as requested by management; and
