Job description
Reports To: Business Development Manager
Location: Territory encompasses South King, Pierce, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Kitsap, Jefferson, and Clallam Counties.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Base Wage Range: $70,000 – $85,000 per year depending on experience and production.
Potential Wage Range: $70,000 – $195,000 per year (includes commission pay and bonus opportunities – both based on individual production and production benchmarks.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for marketing and production of new SBA 504 loans.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- The development of new business and underwriting of loans, requiring you to call on financial institutions, commercial brokers and businesses to offer SBA 504 participation.
- Request and start the underwriting of the required criteria and financial reports by completing the required 504 Loan Application and NWBDA Credit Memorandum, both of which are needed for NWBDA to finalize the underwriting of the borrower’s application for submission for SBA approval.
- Assist the Credit Analyst in obtaining any additional information or answers to questions to complete the submission of applications to our Loan Committee, Board of Directors (if needed), and SBA.
- Prior to approval, obtain from Borrower a signed and dated Loan Application Assistance Agreement including the required fee deposit.
- Upon notification from SBA that the loan has been approved, provide Borrower and Lender with a copy of the Terms & Conditions (T&C) for Debenture Guaranty.
- Assist the closing department when and as needed in collecting documentation necessary to close and fund the debenture transaction. This includes but is not limited to obtaining and certifying, as needed, that the required appraisals and environmental investigations comply with the T&C for Debenture Guaranty.
- Attend occasional meetings requested by the closing department in an effort to keep them up to date on the closing process for each of your approved loans.
- At or prior to closing, perform a site visit at the project site and obtain all financial information as necessary for a certification to SBA that the project was completed as planned and that there has been no adverse change.
- Assist servicing department with any servicing related matters including performing any required site visits on an as needed basis.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Submit, monthly, a detailed breakdown of all expenses incurred for all out-of-pocket costs including mileage, stationery, approved office supplies, and other materials necessary to market and package the loan/debenture applications.
- Be active in all local Chamber of Commerce groups and other networking groups as needed.
- Personally call on commercial lenders within your designated area at least quarterly.
- Provide management with a monthly pipeline/tracking report listing prospects, applications in progress and approved transactions in process of funding. Provide a weekly report if requested.
- Prepare, during September of each year, an annual forecast of loan approvals and projected funding dates.
- Make recommendations to NWBDA Management of procedural changes to promote efficiencies within the company.
- Attempt to attend all meetings where your presence is requested by management.
- Assist with other requests or duties as requested by management.
- Comply with all Northwest Business Development Association’s policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Previous lending experience in areas of Marketing of Commercial Loans and/or SBA Loan Programs, and Loan Regulation Compliance.
- Good driving record.
- Prior experience and current expertise in marketing within the specified territory are essential requirements.

GENERAL BENEFIT DESCRIPTION:

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for answering calls directed to the operator, specifically assisting the Chief Operating Officer with day-to-day, monthly, and annual projects, providing back-up for the Chief Operating Officer and a variety of assistance to all other departments as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Professionally administer all incoming calls and redirect accordingly.
- Greet and assist guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
- Prepare and distribute Board and annual meeting materials.
- Coordinate Board and annual meetings and follow-up tasks.
- Maintain Board related records; and communicate changes to SBA.
- Assist all departments as needed, providing specific assistance to support the Chief Operating Officer (IT Support, Facilities Management & HR).
- Communicate staff absences.
- Record and prepare Staff Meeting Minutes.
- Coordinate Birthday Celebrations.
- Coordinate handyman visit.
- Manage office supply inventory.
- Type memos, email notifications, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
