Five Mile Automotive Center

The original owner of Five Mile Auto offered to sell this business to one of his long term employees, Steve Schafer. Steve has worked for the shop for over 20 years. Using a 504 loan, he took advantage of the low down payment requirement to purchase the land and building from the former owner. An SBA 7(a)loan was used to help finance inventory and working capital.

Cathay Inn

In 1998, the Cathay Inn was approved for another SBA Loan through the Northwest Business Development Association. This loan was for demolition, the construction of a new restaurant building and to purchase new furniture, fixtures and equipment. The new Cathay Inn is double in size and now employs over 50 people.
