As a non-profit organization, NWBDA is able to provide grants on an annual basis to other organizations or programs providing economic or community development in the areas that NWBDA serves. This year, NWBDA was able to give away a grand total of $134,500 to organizations devoted to making an impact.

Spokane Colleges Foundation – Spokane, WA

SCORE’s mission is to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. It provides free resources to business owners including mentoring, business training, and business classes/online webinars.

SCORE operates in every state and strives to help entrepreneurs start and manage successful small businesses. SCORE recognizes different needs due to industry and/or diversity, and provides personalized support for small business owners.

Since 1964, SCORE has helped more than 17 million entrepreneurs start, grow or successfully exit a business. SCORE’s 10,000 volunteers provide free, expert mentoring, resources and education in all 50 U.S. states and territories.

SCORE positively impacts communities, local businesses and the national economy by providing free, expert mentoring and educational resources to help entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. In 2024, SCORE helped 59,447 new businesses launch, 84,176 non-owner jobs be created, and 143,623 total jobs be created.
